Project: Pre-drilling Water Quality Assessment and Characterization
Guidance from United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and laboratories used by local officials was followed. Ensolum sampled drinking water according to industry best practices.
Project Characteristics:
For the Pre-drilling Water Quality Assessment and Characterization Project, Ensolum acted as the liaison between the client and private landowners. The project took place at three proposed drilling sites. Ensolum determined the presence of private water wells. Once water wells, their documented use, and condition/accessibility were confirmed, Ensolum’s team collected water quality samples from each prior to the start of drilling activities. Ensolum performed sampling in general accordance with industry best practices. Guidance was derived from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regional jurisdictions, and laboratories utilized by local officials for drinking water sampling.
