JOB FOR

Industrial Hygiene Exposure Monitoring Survey

Project: Industrial Hygiene Exposure Monitoring Survey

Client: Confidential

Location: Hodge, LA

Completed: October 2020

Project Characteristics:

Ensolum was retained to perform an industrial hygiene exposure monitoring survey for an 800-employee paper mill.  Working with the mill’s EHS group, Ensolum developed a sampling strategy to characterize the employee exposures to chemical and physical hazards.

One hundred eighty noise dosimetry measurements were performed over a two week period.   Personal air samples were collected for exposures to Sodium Hydroxide, Wood Dust, Respirable Crystalline, Silica, Hexavalent Chromium, Total and Respirable Particulates, Sulfur Compounds, Lime Dust, Hydrogen Sulfide, Carbon Monoxide and Formaldehyde.

Ensolum evaluated the employee exposures, comparing the results against corporate and regulatory occupational exposure limits.  A corrective action plan was developed and implemented by the client.
