Project: SPCC Plan and Update & Container Storage Area Closure (CSA)
Project Characteristics: Ensolum, LLC (Ensolum) Consultants worked closely and collaborated with plant operations, environmental department leads and state agencies on a SPCC update and CSA Closure within a large chemical plant complex.
Project Detail:
- Ensolum conducted a review of existing documents for the SPCC updates, completed the changes and provided a stamped updated plan to the client.
- Ensolum conducted site visits by a professional PE at the former location of a RCRA Permit Exempt less than 90-day container storage area, located within a warehouse building.
- Ensolum ensured that the stated Notice of Registration (NOR) number had been a designated area within the warehouse and was noted as such in the State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS).
- Ensolum was provided weekly inspection reports by the client and the NOR closing justification. Reports not electronically available were reviewed by Ensolum in a binder onsite. Inspections did not indicate any releases to the concrete floor of the warehouse.
- Interviews were conducted with client and subcontractor staff who had knowledge of the operation and use of the CSA.
- All documents were compiled and the professional engineer completed and stamped the CSA closure report.
